Godzilla, Mothra & King Ghidorah

Tonight’s screening for the Waseda Uni Godzilla movie marathon is a recent fan favourite `Godzilla, Mothra & King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack`. This will be the second movie after recently screening the original Godzilla from 1954. It should provide both an excellent insight into the Godzilla narrative and complexity of the special effects and modeling of the Godzilla monsters and space.
We will be mapping key locations that are referenced in the film and the plan is to upload them for public discussion on Google Maps. The hope is to initiate both a discussion of Godzilla pilgrimage spaces, how the film’s narrative might leek into these places, the banal and spectacular places that form important sites within the film.
This is the first time I will have seen GMK and looking forward to finally watching this addition to the Godzilla franchise.
